Hey, I'm KarthXLR. I'm currently entering my third year of film school and have worked as a production assistant on a local feature shot here. I hope to work in the industry some day. I've been traveling from movie forum to movie forum looking for a great place to discuss both new film and old for a few years now. I lurked 4chan's /tv/ for about 6 months before giving up on it and landing on reddit's r/movies. Regardless to say, I started posting on r/moviescirclejerk quite frequently.
I'm trying to expand my taste as far as I can. Good, bad, doesn't matter. A helpful guide I've been using is the 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die list. I've completed about 270 of the films in about 3 years time (they change yearly though, here's a full list of every entry). My progress has been hampered a bit by college and my roommates sharing our netflix account, but I hope that it will change as soon as we split up next semester.
I occasionally post movie reviews on letterboxd, although I think the only ones with actual effort put into them are my most recent ones.
