I know what J-lube is, I have some of my own. What effect does it have on mixing it into the gelatin? What am I looking for by "eyeballing" it?

A little bit goes a long way. That bottle of powder will make gallons of the goopy stuff. It's used as a veterinarian lubricant. Mix with water a little at a time to whatever consistency you want. More powder makes thicker lube. It has a tendency to clump (cocoon of powder surrounded by a layer of lube). Fix this by microwaving it, stirring, microwaving, stirring, rinse and repeat until the powder is gone. Let it cool and store in some kind of squeeze bottle. It is vegetable-based, so is body safe. It will last for a few days in the fridge, or you can freeze it for longer storage.
