I use the EatSmart Precision scale from Amazon. I've never had any problems and it is very precise. And only $22 last time I checked. :)

A bit on the expensive side but cheap scales are awful. This is my absolute favourite scale ever I've used it for 5+ years and swear by it.
Edit: Even great if you travel a lot - it has a tare function for weighing luggage, pets or kids.
