Anyways, I run the Ultra-thin Spigen cases on all my phones. Offers some protection from corner/side drops, but doesn't add too much thickness. Certainly not the best for fall protection, but Spigen does offer thicker cases (and are pretty decent).
These recent announcements about bringing your own device only apply to the newly announced devices.
If you want the Moto G 3rd Gen, you'll need to obtain it either through RW or Amazon.
You can find the part for $4.50 on Amazon and a tutorial on YouTube on how to replace it.

I also was disappointed to find Lifeproof doesn't have a MXP case. I have been quite happy with the Poetic Affinity case. My only complaint was that the case made my buttons extremely sensitive, but I fixed this by cutting away at the inside of the case and have had no issues since!
