I did the same exact thing and I was so bummed! I don't live anywhere near an Ikea, so the closest thing I found was this

For the game boxes themselves, a bookshelf is probably the best option. However, if you get collector's editions of games you probably get a fair amount of statues and such, those would look great in a display case like this

I managed to snag a 6-foot glass curio cabinet on Amazon Prime for under $150. Some assembly required but it was well worth it and holds all my X-Wing, Armada, and Imperial Assault (may they rest in peace) models. Here's the link:

1. make sure you read the reviews to learn how to put it together. That sounds weird but trust me
   
2. i have these same exact cases i got mine from my local wesco for $129, they are usually like $159, but i found it on sale like presidents day for $129, when i went to get my second one i told them that, and thry gave it to me for $129.
   
   Edit: also they are 2 day shipping with prime, if you dont have prime do the trial.

If you're looking for a display most people recommend Detolfs if you have an ikea near you. When you get the chance you should check out the sub's faq link. You might find some useful things there. Nice collection though and welcome to the sub :)

EDIT: I personally use this from amazon since I don't have an ikea anywhere near me. They're pricier than detolfs but they are considerably larger than detolfs as well.
