I've been using this one for a few months now. It works exactly the way I need it to.
It doesn't require any power, so you can run it with just the phone and an HDMI cable, but it does have a port to plug in a charger.

What phone are you using? They have these new "Slimport" cables that work amazing and can do a full hdmi to your tv. Honestly looks great if you have a compatible phone...
Alternatively you could get a Chromecast for your HDMI and "cast" from phone to tv... which also works awesome.
Why buy a 100-250 crap laptop lol... when their are better alternatives.
