If you're just looking for a wall-wart style, this plug from monoprice and this plug from Aeon Labs both do power monitoring.
I originally tried the Monoprice smart switch but it couldn’t handle the load. I ended up buying the Aeotec Smart Switch 6 and can handle it easily. I tested it with the dryer and it worked for it too so I bought a second switch. I have both my washer and dryer set up like this.
I use an aeotec plug:
Aeotec Smart Switch 6, remote control smart plug, Z-Wave Plus, small size, side USB charging port, power metering https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VQISOCG/
With a ball valve like this:
BACOENG 3/4" 110V/220V NC Motorized Ball Valve, NO/NC 2/3 Way BRASS/SS 1/2"-1" Available https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PVQFTHW/
The Aeon Labs Smart Energy Switch:http://amzn.com/B007UZH7B8
I chose this because:
It's worked without a hitch. I'll buy another one soon. That 90 watts is definitely from my stereo, because if I unplug everything from it, the monitor (smartthings) shows it's wattage usage drops to zero.
I'm using the Aeotec Smart Switch 6 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VQISOCG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) without issue. It shows up as a Power Switch Meter in Abode, and can be turned on and off. Energy usage doesn't show up in the Abode UI, though.
In that case: Pricey, but temporary
There is a good chance someone makes something similar cheaper, but I've had good luck with their products.
Ok thanks! I'm also looking at this Aeotech Smart Switch. More expensive but looks like I could better detailed reports from it.
