I had to do something similar with my old HP/Compaq Mini 110c. It only had one vent which effectively killed its ability to properly cool the shitty, single core Atom processor. It would actually throttle because it'd get so hot. An Intel Atom would throttle because of badly designed cooling.
I added a couple small holes to the bottom where the fan was to act as exhaust and its temps dropped substantially.

I gave it to a friend a couple years ago, but I miss it. It was so weak that all I could do was use it to program and work on. There was nothing to distract me.

Not much you can do with dusts to be honest, it'll always get in every nook and cranny of a case.
You just have to clean your case every once in awhile when it starts to get dusty.
My only advice is getting those dust filters for fans to try and mitigate dust entering the case, not sure how good it'll hold up in your case though
I mean, It might be good for larger stuff like pet hair, but normal dust could probably get in.
