I have the Surface, too and I miss the kickstand a lot. I have a 12.9" IPP so I just bought a large multi-angle holder. The larger one works nicely in bed for me.

Just this. Not a lot of room on my desk at work, this was on a killer sale and I really just wanted to be able to prop it up and read.
