You can always pick up some $30 in ear Bluetooth ones these days, longer charge and decent quality for a 3rd of the cost.

It's just brand looks at the end of the day.
[These for example ] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07N8RYGC4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_zC-TDbNVJ2FK0)

These are wired/Bluetooth so they are
attached to each ear bud, but at least one won't dissapear on ya

Edit and this is what I'm currently using and so far they're quite good, they last about 8 hours on a good charge

Second this.

These are pretty damn good for the price. I use these for working out and they even come into the shower with me. A fantastic find when I thought I'd have to spend at least quadruple that amount on Wireless earbuds for exercise.

They replaced my wired Sennheiser CX400-II set and while they aren't quite as good for the kind of music I listen to they are pretty close. I'm more than happy with them, especially at the price :)

They're a bit more expensive on amazon, but that's the same model I've got. One button for on/off/pairing and two buttons for volume. Best buy this year.

Aerobic exercise requires less executive function to get started.

In order to start lifting weights, you need to

  1. Look up gyms in your area, browsing on your phone.

  2. Decide on a particular gym to try

  3. Put on gym clothes and appropriate shoes.

  4. Go to the gym

  5. Look up the hours when you are already on your way because you forgot to do that

  6. Get shown how to use the equipment if you don't already...and if there is someone there to do this.

  7. Lift weights, hopefully not waiting for other people to finish using the equipment.

  8. Shower

  9. Change into the clean clothing that you did remember to bring... right?

  10. Go to class/work on time.

In order to run, you need to.

  11. Put in $25 wireless earbuds and Put on some energetic music.

  12. Go outside. Realise you're still in your dirty clothes from yesterday, but it doesn't really matter. Find any loop of ground outside you can run around on.

  13. Set an alarm for when to stop.

  14. Run, while fantasising about being able to defeat all your obstacles.

  15. Run back into your apartment and up your stairs.

  16. Shower

  17. Change into the clothes you were going to change into for class/work

    ------

It is easier to made the second one a habit. The first isn't that much harder and you might find that a treadmill helps you keep up your pace. But it is good to know that during a day when you feel really frazzled, you can still just run for 15 minutes and that will help center your brain.

Source: my own struggles with Executive Function.

Also, being able to run helps me be not-late to things.

I've been using these, they're pretty perfect - unobtrusive, block out noise akin to earbuds, no fuss, easy to charge, waterproof etc. Downside: no voice control, just earphones.
