I just picked this up from staples for $169.99 CAD. I love it. The colour is excellent out of the box. There's a lot of options for connectivity as well.

They range in 22, 23 and 24 inches, of them are 22, 23 and 24

I'd like to have them all 24" but I also want a small bezel, I'm leaning towards one of the 23" monitors, the Asus one has a higher contrast 80,000,000:1 vs 50,000,000:1 (Their actual website says 20,000,000:1) but the AOC one has D-Sub (VGA), HDMI, HDMI with MHL and DisplayPort where as the Asus one has only D-Sub (VGA), HDMI and DVI.

No idea what really is the "best" choice.

I used the Allsourtsoutlet 4 pyramid (3+1) stand ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B018IN6J8M/ ) which supports both 75mm and 100mm screens.

All my AOC monitors are the same at 23 inches with the 75mm VESA mounts on the back.
Although not really my fault I am sorry to hear your troubles with the AOC monitors, I know how difficult it can be when you plan for one thing but a small variable completely off-puts the rest of your plans.
