$500 huh?
Maybe try an Asus Vivobook.

This Laptop is the best one I was able to find. I use it with a Linux distribution and swapped the Hard drive for an SSD. Runs everything I need for physics and computer science.
Someone over on the FL Studio subreddit recommend the ASUS VivoBook . Thoughts?
For anyone else tempted by this, this model is available on amazon Thanksgiving deal for $439. Pretty good price, IMO.

I have this laptop. It has no graphics card so it's poop quality, but I'm sure if you got any laptop with a graphics card it would run the game fine
I'm just looking at laptops on Amazon and it's nearly every one. There are a couple models which look like the same chassis used by Dell, Asus, HP, etc that do center the trackpad - so not all. I will say though, there are far more laptops with numeric keyboards than I thought. Regardless, I still don't believe it makes ergonomic sense to shift the track pad like that.
Just a quick click through and I found these that are off center.

There are tons of options in this price range. I was just looking for some guidance feedback
I'd go for a vivobook. For specs an i5 processor and 8GB ram should be enough for your purposes.
This is a good candidate
