Like I said, might as well not have a textbook at that point. Those half assed textbooks are probably way more expensive to "design", print, lacquer, bind, package and ship than it is to distribute an Ebook digitally. Hell in many instances, a computer or tablet is actually cheaper for a college student than a textbook is.

For instance as of me typing this, I can get This 10 inch ASUS Zenpad for less than half of the described price of that half assed textbook in question, which is far and away more capable and can serve as a multipurpose tool in a college environment. i.e. taking notes, recording schedules, keeping track of assignments, et cetera.

I'd say cut your losses at this point, textbook publishers.

If 10" is a must, then I would have definitely recommended:

I've been roaming through Amazon, and those are definitely the best tablets under $160. Both have amazing specs. 2GB RAM, 1080p screen, and both have Android M Asus one is bit more recent, while the Lenovo one is more cheaper.

You may want to research on which one has the better battery life and so on. Also, you can return your recently bought tablet to Amazon within 30 days, even if it is already opened.

Reposting from last week:

I've been meaning to pick up a new tablet to replace my IPad 2, between this and this.

Does anyone have experience with either of these?

No it cannot be upgraded to android 6.0. But you have good tablets which cost around 30 dollars more with android 6.0 like the [ASUS ZenPad Z300M-A2-GR 10.1"] (https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-ZenPad-Z300M-A2-GR-Screen-Quad-Core/dp/B01F57BNG2/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1481425471&sr=1-2&keywords=tablet+android+6.0&refinements=p_36:10000-15000&linkCode=ll1&tag=qt088-20&linkId=23c01c540e99dca43c9144b8687eb1ef)has 1.3ghz processor and 2gb ram which can give you a pretty decent performance when running apps. They've got a 10.1" ASUS ZenPad for $30 off right now.

$130 for a 10 inch tablet ain't bad.
