Get yourself some heavy duty permanent Fabric Glue. Should fix--er, hide the problem.

My '19 kit didn't fair too well after one wash either, but not as bad as you're describing.

If the letters are still attached, you can realign them and use an iron and parchment paper to reattach the letters/numbers.

I only hand wash it now. My '17 5Stripe kit is still fine after 50 washes in the machine.

I didn’t have a drop veil, but I glued very small dots beneath the larger embroidered patterns on the trim and it dried so it wasn’t very obvious. Use something like wax paper underneath. In case the glue soaks through both layers, you’ll be able to pull the wax paper away easily after it’s dry or just almost dry. Also, going slow kept things neat. I glued mine in 1-2 ft sections, letting them completely dry in between.

You could try gluing most of the trim, but then using thread for the drop portion.

Okay, here is what I did for a similar price. Just throwing you an alternative. I had my jeans hemmed, so I cut out a rectangular strip when I noticed my crotch fading incredibly fast. I used fabric adhesive to bind it to my jeans and it's worked great for about 3 months now.

As a person who sews, I understand fabric, but I've never done anything like you are talking about. My advice will be thought out, but not experienced.

I don't think you will be able to make nice cuts with a rotary cutter. They work well for quilting weight cottons, slice beautifully and cleanly. But a Navajo blanket will be too thick, in my opinion.

I don't know what your budget is, but consider getting a tailor quality scissors. If you have a JoAnn Fabric, or Michael's Craft stores, they have nicer scissors. Look for a 50% off coupon.

Practice on the fabric on the edges before cutting your holes!

With a thick blanket fabric like a Navajo, consider also something stronger than Fray Check. Fray Check is a thin adhesive, similar to Super Glue.

Here is an adhesive that is thick, almost like liquid glue sticks, which you can put carefully around your openings, let it dry and it should stop the fray.

Just wondering if some type of water and stain repellant would help in a couple of ways? If rain gets in, or if people's hands are dirty or oily when cranking the window, stain repellant may help keep the fabric clean looking. Maybe it would help with abrasion also? Here is a good one. Fabric glue may help prevent further fraying, though I'm not sure it would be strong enough to stop long term damage.

Fabri-tac on Amazon has 4/5 stars out of 672 reviews. At a brief glance, it looks like people successfully used it to patch shirts and stuff like that. Description says it doesn't soak or stain the fabric, so primeknit might be safe (I'd still do a tiny test area first just in case). I've seen this glue at Michaels and hobby lobby.

This list seems more focused on repairing soles, but may have something more durable than fabric glue.

I wonder if you could find thread in a close color and sew a little patch on the inside where the holes are starting. Might reinforce it a bit.

Hello everyone! I'm looking to get some advice as I'm trying to make a plush using some patterns and a tutorial I found online. I'm trying to hand sew this as I don't have a machine but if i continue sewing and like it I'll probably buy one.

For supplies I have this little kit:

Not sure if its any good, would like some input, I just bought it because it was inexpensive and seemed to have very useful things

Only alteration is I've scaled the patterns to be larger as I want it to be big.

Questions I have are:

1. Are there any good fabric markers? I can use to mark up the patterns, the polar fleece i'm using is Black.
   
   
2. What sort of stitching should I use or learn so I can use for this project so it looks very well sewn?
   
   
3. How do I get more even stitching? I made one of these before, but I'm not happy with how the stitching came out unfortunately so I'd like to try again but this time get some advice from more experienced people. Also how far should stitches be separated? Is there a rule of thumb for this?

5. Does anyone know of a good type of mini sound module? Like the little buttons you'd put in a plush to make it make a sound, if so I was thinking of placing one in here and I'd like suggestions.
   
   Was thinking maybe gluing the eyes would look cleaner? If anyone has any advice or opinions please do let me know. I'm open to buying better supplies or things I need as well so don't hold back!
