I would suggest XSplit over OBS for event broadcasting, its much better. You could just get a trial for the event if you aren't ready to pay for the service for awhile.
Bigger question is what kind of computer are you streaming from for the event? Knowing that would help to figure out what kind of capture card you should get.
My suggestion without knowing your full setup would be just getting a Magewell Quad Capture HDMI and then get the BlackMagic SDI to HDMI convertors for the two SDI connections.
