u/christixn09 - every Canon DSLR after the 2018-era 80D (to include the less expensive T7i and SL2) records to 1080/60p.
Yesterday, they released a 90D that records at 1080/120p and 2160/30p.

It depends on what you plan to shoot. The SL2 has only 9 focus points but has that dual pixel auto focus. You will find that the SL2 seeking focus especially in video mode. Canon's latest camera now has the best auto focus with native lenses. But if you're not really that invested yet in Canon lenses, you can't go wrong with either of the two. Sony A6000 is a great camera. Personally I would prefer the Canon SL2 to Sony A6000 because of the lineup of sharp and affordable native lenses.
