We wanted a new, better cooler but didn't want to spend Yeti money. Found this one on Amazon and got it last week. It's the "marine edition" so it has metal hinges instead of plastic, and all around seems a little better than the regular 5 day Coleman extreme that I've seen a lot. Also, no shitty little wheels to break.
*Showed up with little dent in it, but most stores in our area are selling the regular version of the same size for like $80+, so I'm happy with it.

I use the 120 qt Coleman. Never thought I'd fill it but I was wrong. I'm in Souther Cal and I keep it at 70 degrees and 62 Rh.

I got a marine coleman to haul chile back from New Mexico to CA. AO soft sided coolers are good if that's your thing.. kept one of those for my snacks.
get dry ice. i you're crossing states where folks hunt, you can get dry ice at any grocery.
I got the cold packs from amazon called cooler shock. couple of those those with fresh dry ice every other day kept 24 tubs of chile frozen solid in my trunk from NM, AZ, NV, and CA (in July).. 3 days in the car.
also cover your chest with a damp bath towel. insulates that much better.
as far a character.. it's got little to none.
