Doctor checking in to caution you of the dangers of playing music too loudly on your ear buds. If you really enjoy listening to music (or not suffering from tinnitus later in life), you'll appreciate taking care of your hearing now.

Any good quality ear buds will give you a similar experience without having to "crank (the) volume the fuck up". You'll have better clarity at lower volumes and they'll 'feel' louder at lower volumes.

Let us know what type of music you listen to and we can give you a better idea of suggestions for ear buds that will give you what you're looking for without needing the excessively high volumes.

Once you purchase good ear buds, invest in these. They will greatly improve most ear buds isolation and further reduce the volume needed get the same experience from your music.

you could try the comply tips. I have a set for my 535's, and my 215's before them. they come in 3 varieties, isolation, sport, and comfort. the shure iems use the t100 size.

If you haven't found them already. These things kick ass. If you pick up a pack and don't like them, let me know. I'll buy them from you (the un-used ones lol)

I actually have a pair of IEM, but don't wear/use it much because of cable noise when it rubs against my shirt and after some time, the buds would start slipping out of my ears. There are times when the wire gets in the way and the buds would get yanked out. I been told to get better ear tips but I have no idea what size I should get.

If you want to replace earbuds tips to keep the tips wax-free or for your comfort, consider if your model is compatible with your earbuds! I use Comply with Wax Guard, which was only choice available.
