I have a ContourROAM. It's water-resistant (plenty good for rain) and idiotproof (single switch on/off). Records in full 1080p. There's a newer version, the ContourROAM 2, which is slightly more expensive. I'm happy with my camera though.

Camera, Helmet mount, and you'll want a microSD card (I recommend 32GiB)

Contour recently announced they're going out of business, but another company has bought all the assets and is planning to resurrect them. Other people like GoPro too, and I've seen people with those cameras. Couldn't hurt to check them out.

For a while I used an older Android phone as a dashcam and just recently bought the Gear Pro. Below are some alternatives:

Also, this is available right now for only $40 more.

I know you can flash the update for the Roam2 for this camera and get 720p 60fps recording.....and since I Want to record my bike rides I was wondering which one you would think is better. Or is the go pro really that much better and I should just save my money.

Oh, I get what you're saying. Yeah, a waterproof enclosure would probably mute wind noise quite a bit.

In that case, though the Countour is still a better buy.

There were two different versions for $100. This one is the one I got. It looks like you ordered this one. It had been priced at $100 when I first started looking at them.
