I used this monitor to game before I got a 16:9. Works well with even new video cards. I used it for Battlefront and Republic Commando alot. Its a great quality monitor.
That would work, too. I was thinking of a monitor, only, to minimize the size. I looked up the Nintendo 60 specs and it looks like you have the option of s-video and composite video (red-white-yellow) plugs. I looked up your Macbook specs and there is no video input. This is common in laptops.
Monitors will be hard to find with these inputs since they have been replaced by newer technology. Here's a $70 monitor that takes s-video input.
I went with one of these. Its smaller than you wanted, but has a good response time, good resolution, 4:3, great viewing angle, all the right inputs (DVI, VGA, Composite, and S-Video), sleeps reliably, thin bezel, and most importantly, is extremely "shallow" so you don't need a deep area to mount it once you take it off the base.
I use it in my cabinet, it works perfectly. I really can't recommend it enough. Get it.
