Do you have a multi meter? You can splice into a yellow for +12 and black for common. Confirm this though in case they used non-standard wire coloring.

The easy modular solution is to use a Molex to DC adapter and plug this into your RBB controller. Just confirm the DC barrel is the correct size.

Ironically I'm taking circuit theory right now but thank you. My last question is would something like this work? Unfortunately its mobile, and my only concern would then be the barrel size. However I do have a similar if not the same 12V "box" as superbright; point being with that, I think they'd be all the same. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Wow thanks for that idea! I just picked this up from Amazon along with the fibers I suggested.

I'm now trying to find a cheap solution for some end fittings, I want some of the 'stars' to be larger than others so I can recreate Ursa Major. These would be perfect but there is no price listed. I've contacted them for a quote on 20 of them.

I've got a desktop ATX power supply on my desk running a desktop GPU hooked up to my laptop. I'd like to eliminate some of the wall sockets I'm using. This laptop only had 1 USB3 and 1 USB2 connector, so I'm using a powered hub on the 3.0 one. Can I use something like this or something similar to power the laptop itself or the hub from the PSU? This is a 12v adapter, but I imagine and hope others exist for my needs.

I'd also be interested in any other accessories that would benefit the laptop that could also be powered by the PSU. And finally, I have no idea how to tell if the barrel connector is even the right size.
