Don't know how much longer I'd consider them guests if they were snooping behind closed doors. But to each their own :)

Personally, I'd go with an electronic keypad (an industrial version of this). If an emergency comes up, I don't want to have to fumble around for keys or a badge. I wouldn't want to have to carry keys/badge around at home anyway.
