Ok, here's the way I see it. She doesn't have to like it. If she hates it, so be it. Just give it aweay or toss it. However, you also have no right to complain unless the gift is intentionally bad.

I hated the shit out of my gift last year so I threw it away. It was the worst and most terribly unfunny book I have ever owned F U, penguin. I might as well have gotten "Going Rogue".

I am sure the guy who got it thought it was funny or something so I didn't whine about it or even mention it till now.
