I would recommend getting a real desiccator you can find them on amazon for not to much, before I had one I just used a mason jar with a food savor lid, you could just poke a hole in the top of the normal lid with a screw driver and put one of the suction tops that came with your pump over it if you can't find a food savor one. Its worked fine for me but some people don't think its safe to vac a mason jar so don't make a habit out of it
