Personally I would strongly recommend a pixel first gen. Firstly its not too expensive. Also to unlock the bootloader is relatively easy. Even if you have the verizon version. With this step I recommend just formatting to factory following the steps and if it doesn't work repeat until it does. Twrp is an easy install. Just need ADBand TWRP. And Magiskis simple and straight forward. Smali with AppNinja GPS joy is going to be how you spoof. Everything before this point is to get your device ready. BTW I don't work for any of these guys its just how I do it and have had no issues.

Why I recommend pixel? Because most of this has been fleshed out really well. The stock rom works really fucking well. The device is old enough to be cheap and dissected over heavily enough that documentation is everywhere, but also packs quite a punch. The other reason I recommend pixel is because to return to stock and recover from a brick is simple and straight forward. And because google gives you all the tools to do it. Lastly pixel is planned to be updated to the newest Android OS. Which means once all the hacks get updated you can move forward with hopefully a better and smoother OS.

But as tasty banana peppers has said. All those company devices work I just feel pixel is the easiest to work with. This is coming from a guy who use to do it on an S4 and didn't enjoy the experience at all.

Ships from.and sold by Amazon: $250

Google Pixel GSM Unlocked (Certified Refurbished) (32GB, Gray) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072N3GKSM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_iFM5Ab83Y3A7G

Or you could get a Certified Refurbished Pixel or Pixel XL for under $250 instead:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072N3GKSM/ref=twister_B07BKTQCXR?_encoding=UTF8&th=1

They're unlocked and are guaranteed to look and work as-new. (I have one, and it does).

Note: The warranty is 90 days, so there is some extra risk involved for the lower price. Personally, I think it's worth it, especially if you buy refurbished goods regularly. Even if you get stuck with a lemon sometimes, overall you should still come out ahead in the long run.

Also, if you have a Visa or Amex card that extends warranties, it will work for refurbished phones too (extending it to 180 days).

The article supposes that Google's canonical page system is being used to inform this behavior. It looks to establish a single, canonical URL for a given page. It says that the canonical page will be determined algorithmically if the page owner does not define the canonical URL.

I wonder if auto-generated canonical pages will trim actual useful content from URLs. For example, timestamps (like "?t=65") on YouTube URLs:

https://youtu.be/qbMTukAJskQ?t=65

Also, automatic subtitle navigation on Wikipedia links (like "#Capabilities")

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falcon_Heavy#Capabilities

I just hope that this new feature will not cause regression in such cases. I do like the idea of Google automatically trimming the chaff from Amazon URLs. I usually do so manually, anyways. For example, an Amazon URL like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Google-Pixel-Unlocked-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B072N3GKSM/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1519145581&sr=1-1&keywords=pixel

really only needs to be like this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072N3GKSM

My understanding of referral strings in URLs is that it helps the retailer track page links, I wonder if Google will get rid of referral info in URLs as well?

ZTE are notorious for their delay in upgrades. Honestly at the $300 price point a refurb Pixel 1 is a great buy https://www.amazon.com/Google-Pixel-Unlocked-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B072N3GKSM

> Really, so there's no store that offers certain Google products on Amazon, because no single store is interested in selling them? Amazon outright bans sale of those products by any store on their platform. Instead of your search for Google home, you get the Amazon echo as the first home Assistant result.

I'm sorry, you were saying?
