FYI the one in stores is terrible and is not this one, the "classic" one is found through Amazon as an exclusive: https://www.amazon.com/Mouse-Trap-Game-Amazon-Exclusive/dp/B00000DMFD/

I have to disagree. Milton Bradley's Mousetrap is the ultimate trap game in my book.

And thus ends the most epic game of Mousetrap ever.

/jerk -- This person is kidding themselves if they think anybody is going to buy MouseTrap for $15 used, when it's $12 on Amazon, new. Looks like he hit the local GoodWill and though "These $1 games for are totally valuable online!"

The problem with a spray bottle is that you can only use it when you're watching the cat. You wind up training the cat not to get on the table while you're watching. You need something that works 24/7.

Keep in mind that cats hate surprises. So we need something that will surprise/startle the cat when he's on the table. The first thing you'll need is paper plates. The second thing you'll need is a secret, but I'll give you a clue.

You set the Secret Thing underneath a paper plate (so kitty can't get hurt). Use enough of these combos to pretty much cover the table (or other area you want the cats to stay off of). When the cat bumps or steps on a paper plate the Secret Thing snaps, jumps up and makes a loud noise. The cat (figuratively) shits little kitty bricks and runs away.

After a while kitty will get over his shock, and try again. And again with the snapping and the jumping and the noise. Kitty decides there are Terrible Evil Things in Table Land and will avoid.

I have used this with great success with my own cats. It's safe, I would never hurt a kitty.

Some people use newspaper instead of paper plates.
