Not OP, but products like restore-a-finish work great on scratches and water rings.
Restor-a-finish has worked pretty well for me on old pieces like this
Howard's Restore a Finish works wonders. Short of sanding and refinishing the top, this is your best shot.
I've used this stuff in the past to get rid of water marks and also heat rings.
woah woah woah, don't start putting floor varnish on a 100+ year old table.
