An 'underwater' case would certainly protect your gear, but they are very expensive and probably overkill for your use. Example
It might be enough to just keep it in a dry bag and pull it out when you need to shoot.
Whatever you do, I would suggest making sure that your gear is covered by insurance. Some home owner's or renter's insurance policies will cover your personal possessions, even if the accident happens out of your home.
