I just tried the bigger version this weekend: 6 probes - I bought this when it was on sale for like $50.

The bluetooth range was decent, but I cuddled my phone on the couch when I took a nap and it blocked the signal. Also, the 6-probe version has different probes that appear to be more heavy-duty.

I'm not entirely positive, but I think you can only have 1 app connection to the device at a time. I installed it on both my phone and my wife's, and I wasn't able to connect to both phones.

The app was easy enough to install and connect to. I was able to create custom temperature ranges and the alarm worked great.

From the reviews I've read, the 150ft range is dubious, and knowing that it's bluetooth, that makes sense. That range will likely only be reached with an unobstructed field between your phone and the device. Taking it inside a house you are limited to around 50 ft. The more walls between the devices, the weaker the signal (which is why the connection was dropped while I napped).

Most of people would like to use another thermometer to monitor the temperature. You can try one.
