get a new screen, and a 3DS shell like this to keep it in while its in your bag

Look at user reviews, the photos there show the GBA game might not fit in there, whether it's in the DS or outside of it. The DS is slimmer though, I just realized, so you can compare the width measurements to see if it'd fit with the cartridge inserted.
Cases like this would work though, thanks to the extra space where you can keep the GBA cart separately:
