Nintendo isn't selling them anymore, so you can either get a 3rd party replacement, or find an OEM one on ebay. Unfortunately its a crapshoot either way, as 3rd party tend to be made of cheaper components, and you don't know where the OEM one has been. Just have to try your luck. The model number of the original DS is NTR-001. The model number of the battery is NTR-003. These can be useful search terms to find compatible hardware.

I googled "DS Charge Stand Hori" and an Amazon seller came up. The thing also has pretty good reviews there, and it's not too expensive!

And all nintendo devices have special screws, so you will need this.

This worked on mine, but only for a short period of time. I fixed it permanently with DeoxIT. Just take off the back cover (you'll need a tri-wing screwdriver) and spray this stuff into the buttons a few times (work the button a bunch between sprays). I did this a couple weeks ago and they've been working great since.

Look at user reviews, the photos there show the GBA game might not fit in there, whether it's in the DS or outside of it. The DS is slimmer though, I just realized, so you can compare the width measurements to see if it'd fit with the cartridge inserted.

Cases like this would work though, thanks to the extra space where you can keep the GBA cart separately:

They use BT as well indeed, so you can "easily" connect them to your PC as well for example as a normal controller :)

(with the necessary driver - which exists, just as the PS3 controller needs a driver).

What is "harder" about it, is that an integral part of the controller is that it uses positioning via infrared (the wii bar on top of your TV). - So you would need an appliance that has these infrared lights at the same distance so the mote can position itself.

Now, in reality all of this has actually been made in a single handy package. This DolphinBar:
http://www.amazon.com/TOTALCONSOLE-W010-Wireless-Sensor-DolphinBar/dp/B00HZWEB74

Which is 1 USB appliance for your PC with a BT connector built in as well, and they deliver the necessary drivers as well, so you can just play the Wii via an emulator (named Dolphin, which is why it's called the DolphinBar).

You can also connect the wiimote to any android device (with the correct driver-'app'), but again, the infrared positioning is "harder". However you can just use it sideways as a conventional controller though for the button input.

Glue it to an allen key or buy a quality precision screw extractor https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B009RWKG2Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_kvkCCb8VAX9QJ

And for the stripping, its your screwdrivers that are not made of hardened steel or your are not applying enough pressure.

Good luck

Buy her a 2DS. They're a DS and more. Not too complicated too. If you buy her this, than all DS Games will work on it, and so will all 3DS games. Here's the link to one on Amazon.

Hope this helps! :)

I've seen some listings (particularly on Ebay) for this one that looked pretty shady. Does anyone have experience with this buyer?

Or with a different dock?

>Just purchase an aftermarket DSi battery with higher mAh capacity.

Beware of the "higher capacity" listings

Many times you'll see a battery that offers twice the capacity of the original, but in reality, those tend to just be the same capacity, or less.

Rule of thumb: If it claims to be an extended battery, and it's not significantly (psychically) larger, The capacity is fake.

Sure, you could squeeze in a few extra mah's in, and keep it the same size so it will fit in your ds/dsi, But if it claims to be 30+% larger, you'd need to increase the size of the battery.

I think they're on eBay/Amazon.

Here's link:

http://www.amazon.com/Action-Replay-Nintendo-3DS-DSI-Lite/dp/B00A1AQJAO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1454264678&sr=8-1&keywords=action+replay+ds

If you can't get them there, local game stores (Gamestops/etc) probably have it.

Have a nice day!

Get a set of left handed drill bits (Amazon link) then take the smallest one from this kit, press it against the screw head, and turn the drill counter clock wise slowly.

You're trying to get the bit to bite into the head, grab a hold and unscrew it. You can apply a bit of presure.

[Here's a legit copy of mines.] (https://i.imgur.com/eQ1f5Lw.jpg) It may be a little bit turnish from years of use and it don't have the serial number written on the back in black anymore, but I bought mines from GameStop brand new back on release day, which was May 15, 2006.

But anyway, I looked and compared the two. I can see some slight differences. There's too much yellow on the bottom border where you see the grass, just above the A2DE serial number on the front of the game card. The brick block on the far left is a bit more visible and a bit skinnier than mines, also the sticker is a little off to the left side of the game card. It's not lined up directly in the middle, But I honestly don't know if that makes it fake or not. Yours could've just been a more recent print from mines since mines was a release copy. You can compare if you want as well.

I saw some pictures on Amazon where a person had a fake copy on the game. They had it for years not knowing it was a counterfeit copy until Nintendo did the 3DS update which made the game unplayable, so he couldn't return it, but I can tell his looks fake all the way through though.
