raspbian as your OS (use minimal); optionally I created a way (taken from the offiical raspbian image builder) to build/prep raspbian image for k8s/k3s. It basically enables cgroups, turns swap off, removes additonal unneeded pkgs from raspbian minimal. You can also do this manually :)

Very easy setup, silent, low power (although not a bad suggestion from another poster, not using a fulll size computer is nice bc of this). Above all - have fun!
