There was a "fix" for the tears in acronym talk a while ago

Cut out a little piece, stick it on and melt a little bit with a Lighter so it sticks better..works pretty good on the parts beneath the cage that constantly rub against the fabric

Some one posted a fix to this in the Acronym FB group. They used this material and applied it to prevent the cage from rubbing. Search around in the recent posts and you should be able to find the directions on exactly what they did.
