(Raleigh, NC winters are milder than most so if protection from snow or cold is a HUGE issue, you might want to find something more lined.) Also check out American Rag Bunkker boots. At one point I found them for like $23.00 somewhere. They got me through three Indiana winters and I loved them. The fabric on the side is a little corny but if you zip it up it's a cleaner look.
