I think it'd be more hilarious, though, if there's a Hive planet somewhere out there that's just covered in a 14-mile-high pile of Thorn Thorns, and all the Thorns in existence teleport their ammunition from the Thorn Planet.

Evidently you can still get them on Amazon. But I preferred the polymer non-capsule creatures that expanded when you soaked them.
Expanding towels are pretty cool, too. And practical.
Might be growing capsule animals, if you add them to water the might turn into foam animal shapes.
