In my MKV this has been working well for me the last six months since I've bought it:

My phone has a slickwraps skin and I have a clear case. I just dropped one of the plates in at the bottom so it doesn't interfere with wireless charging and haven't had any problems yet.
The bar is ziptied to the vent to prevent it from moving up when removing the phone. I used a old magnetic phone holder like this one:

I took the magnetic bit off and screwed the printed part onto the bracket.
I also really wish companies would stop removing the headphone jack.
I keep going through different vent mounts. I should give up, but I prefer the vent to anything else due to location. They all slip or break; I just ordered a new one that grips from behind the vent as well. I hope it lasts a bit longer.

Also, I don't know how thick the plate is on the Spigen, but some cheap mounts come with a super thin flimsy piece of metal that barely holds on. You can get replacement metal backs that are thicker and work much better on thicker cases. There may be cheaper ones, but I just don't know or want to take the risk of getting flimsy replacements.
