I had the same issue for many years.

What worked for me is the following:

I changed my shampoo to one that is sulfate free. Sometimes sulfate a can cause your scalp to dry up. I now use Mitch Double Hitter Sulfate free 2 in 1

And then after I get out of the shower I take 5 drops of Aveda's Pureformance Comp. Oil and massage it into my scalp.

I use Paul Mitchell double hitter shampoo. It's sulfate free and if you shampoo two or three times a week like me then it lasts for months
