What sense does this make? The one questionable trade on his watch (Hamilton) reeked of Burke.

Most of the guys he's arguably overpaid for are at least young enough to justify in terms of net present value.

This, IMO, and maybe Flames fans can back me up on this, but this smacks of more Ken King alpha male redneck bullshit deciding that a remotely technocratic approach to management makes you weak. This is the same piece of shit who pushed Craig Button into a pool while he was on a trade call. When Button jumped back out to use a phone inside (since the shove killed his Blackberry) instead of getting hot and into King's face, Ken King decided that by trying to continue to do his job, rather than immediately blow his top, meant Button was no longer fit to lead the club.
