Not a bad idea, but is it different than the moisture meters for skin already available? I know several people over in /r/Asianbeauty have them, for example like this one which is less than $20.
Not sure if they're all created equal but I got [this one] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00XL8RY2A/) that fiddy snail uses too. I'm not sure about accuracy, but it's pretty precise imo. It mainly helps me pinpoint what is helping me retain moisture for longer and to see if I need more hydrating layers or moisturizing layers.
