It's a "Garlic Twist" - you peel and smoosh a garlic clove and put it in there to finely mince it up for cooking in a dish.

And as other commenters have mentioned, can be used for more recreational purposes

I put garlic in just about everything, but hatted having to dice it up so I used to buy the big jars (I'm talking the 32 ouncers) of pre-diced garlec. Well, a while back, I found this thing and a garlic peeler, and I'll never buy a pre-diced jar again. With these two items, I have fresh garlic in barley a few seconds more that it would take to get the jar out of the fridge and measure it out and put the jar back in the fridge. With how cheep a bulb of garlic is, it's almost costless to add a couple of cloves to anything.

This Garlic Peeler Tube and Garlic Twist Mincer are my two favorite things in my kitchen.

They are so simple to use and clean-up is super easy too

i have this one. never used the one linked above, but it looks like it could be a pain in the ass to clean, and easy to break. the one i have is dead simple - it's the only kitchen 'gadget' i own.

The zoom does nothing. I have something similar to this that I really like, or use my food processor if doing more than a few cloves.

I saw a great peeling technique on here the other day. Crush a head with your hand/knife then put inside an aluminum bowl with another bowl to seal it off and shake for 10+ seconds. The cloves come out mostly peeled. And it is kind of fun to do :)

I'm not OP, but is sounds like this. This is another similar product with good reviews and less moving pieces.

I love eating garlic, I hate mincing it. This thing changed my life.

Also, you can peel and freeze the leftover cloves. Better yet, mince it all and freeze in 1 tsp. portions.

Try this out then.

I first saw it at my mothers house and I though for a second that she was starting to smoke weed.

But yeah, with that you can have garicly weed and weedy garlic.

Ditch the press. Get a garlic twist. Total game changer. Rinses clean in like 2 seconds. Also works on ginger.
