[I attach one of these to my belt loop and let my keys and stuff rest near the midpoint of my pocket (there are smaller ones if this is too big).] (https://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-S-Biner-SlideLock-Stainless/dp/B01D3OEZGY/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1501079039&sr=8-10&keywords=nite+ize+sbiner)

Here's a thread on wallets I responded to from not too long ago.

[And here's another great thread on slim wallets.]

I just bought one of these but I change my wallet around a lot.

When it comes to style I don't know what beats a watch or a good pair of shoes. In terms of gear a lot of people around here also carry a flashlight, a pen, and a pocketknife.

I use an S-binder with a slide lock similar to this:

When I'm not riding I have all my keys hooked together with my house keys on one side and the bike key on the other. When I jump on the bike I unhook the motorcycle key and clip the house keys to either my belt loop (for short rides) or put them in a zippered pocket (for longer rides). Hasn't failed me yet, and no keys bouncing around when I ride.

Nite Eze makes locking carabiners that will thwart opening a zipper in a crowd, etc. https://www.amazon.com/Nite-Ize-SlideLock-Carabiner-Stainless/dp/B01D3OEZGY/

Pacsafe is the 800 pound gorilla of the theft resistant luggage world. Not cheap, but you can find deals on eBay. Good quality and features, but you have to use the locks and latches every time.

Your habits mean more than anything. Never hang a bag over the back of a chair. Put your leg through a strap if sitting with a pack off. Carry your passport and credit cards on your body in a waist or neck money stash and not in your pack. Tuck the pack under your arm in crowds and transportation. I prefer a cross body/shoulder bag vs a backpack for security.
