I did. I replaced the Delta PFB0812DHE fans with a pair of physically smaller Noctua NF-A8 FLX fans. The thing is nearly silent now. I was going to use heat shrink on the wiring, however my local Home Depot didn't have the needed size in stock (as their web page had indicated), otherwise I'd have ordered some from Amazon when I ordered the fans. It's on order now, so when that arrives, I'll be removing the tape and soldering / heat shrinking the cabling. I'll then re-attach the wiring along that back wall with zip ties, as they were originally.

I don't have enough disks to populate it even half way, so I haven't been able to do any temperature testing, but even if I have to remove the Noctua fans for something a bit noiser (but with a bit higher CFM rating), I'll end up doing that, and it'l still be quieter than it was with the Deltas... heh

I bought 2 of these per light, cut off the connectors since they are different, and soldered the wires together. Pretty easy change.

that battery tray you linked doesnt seem to be wired up. maybe this is more what you're looking for?

instead of a 12" tube i'd buy something flat that you can just curl up and insert into the cylinder.

the cooling fans just look like PC case fans. almost every PC guy would recommend Noctua fans for cooling a PC, here's a nice small 80mm that i think would work well, and a controller

and i did find some aparently suitable wire, in multiple colors so you can coordinate your color rails.

Mine sometimes makes similar noises, although not quite as loud. It stops if I press on the sides. At first I thought it was the drives vibrating but it's probably the fan.

The nas is on a wooden shelf which seems to amplify the noise quite a lot. My temporary solution is to play with its placement, e.g. towards the edge of the shelf, and turned at an angle.

I might replace the fan eventually, I heard these are great for a Synology: https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NF-A8-FLX-Premium-Quiet/dp/B00NEMG9K6/. I'm not sure sure if this voids the warranty though.
