I don't know for the Vive, but I can play Eleven for hours without a problem on the Rift.

Oculus Rift + Oculus Touch Bundle is at $598 and HTC Vive is at $799.99 on amazon, that a $200 difference, not a little bit cheaper.

It's $200 cheaper and by your own admission better looking and more comfortable. If we were talking about any other products like phones or laptops there would be a clearly superior product here. Funny how it does not translate to VR.
For 150 more you can get an oculus rift, futuristic controllers that track the movements of your hands, and 7 free games. I would stay away from the one you linked.

Rift and Touch together actually cost $600 right now, so your pricing is off by $100. Also, you get an additional $100 worth of Oculus Store credit if you buy it in the next few days.

and according to whatsmyduty the nz fees are about $140

If it is under the same name, credit card, or using the same ip address I wouldn't do it. That will likely get flagged as fraud as well and probably make it even more difficult to convince support that it should not be flagged as fraud. I am pretty sure back during preorders it was a bad idea to order again if you were told not to. I haven't personally had to do it though. Hopefully support gets back to you soon.

The website says "usually ships in 1 to 3 months", which I take to mean they will ship whenever they have more stock. Usually this is between 1-3 months, but you never know.
Did you try ordering from the Oculus website, since their stock level appears to be infinite, or at least hasn't reported no stock yet.
In Canada it comes to $550 (minus the $100 gift card), and it'll arrive in time for Labour Day! Or Halloween... yay...
