I use the OP/TECH uni-loops hooked on a caribeaner attached to the backpack's straps because I am afraid of plastic snapping open, but same idea: https://www.amazon.com/OP-TECH-USA-1301012-Adaptor/dp/B0010HE2CY/

I also use their neck strap, and leaving the loops on my camera/arca-swiss plate makes it easy to switch between the strap and the backpack.

actually I use this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0010HE2CY/ and replaced the staps

and no straps to deal with and nicer neck
