I've had these [OXO Kitchen Shears] (https://www.amazon.com/OXO-Multi-Purpose-Kitchen-Scissors-Shears/dp/B000KILLXM) for years and they do the job well and the price is right. I can't imagine spending $100 on something like this.

Edit: Maybe they are for stripping herbs like this one says.

I've had these for a few years now, they are great. Whatever brand you get, the important part is that the blades separate for cleaning and drying. That way they don't rust, crud doesn't get stuck in the blades and dull them and they are super easy to clean. Love my shears.

I splurged and got these kitchen shears - they fly through these now. It's actually enjoyable to just dismantle the packaging in seconds.
