Both from out grow, I'd put the link down but it doesn't specify what the casing is made from, just what it is and does. And for substrate it's horse manure. Got that also from out grow.

Edit: The casing definitely has verm (vermiculite) in it. I didn't take a note of that at first. Kinda makes sense just like with coir/verm 50/50 sub.
I was in the same boat as you and kind of flew by the seat of my pants for this whole thing because it can be difficult to know what is the "correct" way to do stuff because everyone has their own suggestions.

I grated up 2 BRF cakes in a cheese grater and mixed with a full bag of this substrate. I did not dunk the cakes before grating them and mixing with substrate.
