Are you set up with a cleft palate clinic? If not, please do so. It's a collaboration of doctors and specialists that work together to give your child every advantage. My son's clinic has a feeding and lactation specialist that helped me with everything. "Pump lessons" are awkward, but worth it.

I pumped for nine months. I want to tell you that pumping is kinda weird, not glamorous because you feel like livestock sometimes, and you have to plan your schedule around it to avoid leaky boobs.
