Do you take a magnesium supplement? Did you change it recently? Some forms of magnesium are straight up laxatives. That was my problem for the first few months, and once I changed my electrolyte supplement it all went away.

I switched to one to two of these pills a day depending on if its a workout day or not, and it really helped me.

Sports Salt

Good luck!

When I workout fasted in the morning I do three things to prepare myself for and to get myself through the workout.

  • 1-2 cups of Black Coffee
  • 1 cup for cardio, 2 cups for lifting
  • Salt Supplement
  • Lots of Water
  • 0.75 - 1 liter / workout

Then, depending on the type of workout I will either fast until at least 1 PM or eat shortly afterwards.

My problems with the guy are: 1) His prices of supplements are insane. 2) He isn't a real doctor 3) He says stuff with no sources of proof. Like caffeine he said will kick you out of ketosis. Wrong, it can boost your production of ketones by 150%.

I just discovered these and they work! Pure Planet Sports Salts 1000 mg 90 Veggie Caps https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DA543JK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_54lKBbZVF24SE

Try these supplements: https://www.amazon.com/Pure-Planet-Sports-Salts-Veggie/dp/B01DA543JK

I use these whenever I do a longer fast and haven't had any issue, if you're looking for a pill (I also don't like snake juice/ketoade).

You shouldn't take the tablets you got because of the possible insulin spike (not ideal for a fast). Each pill is one gram of carbs, so technically you won't get kicked out of ketosis (you gotta have more than 20g to do that) but it isn't the best supplement for your electrolytes.

I sure do.

  1. Osso good bone broth with a dash of Nutritional yeast
  2. Salt tablets
  3. Ketone Salts

Also, get some pink Himalayan salt or something fancy to cook with and don't be shy with it.

Last but not least. As soon as you wake up - your goal for the day is to find and eat as many foods that are high in potassium but low in sugar.. like avocados and dark leafy greens.

P.S. Are you taking any calcium supplements? if so, stop.

Oh good point. I occasionally take sports salts before a heavy workout. Should I supplement electrolytes in this way going forward, you think?
