As woo woo as this may sound, Watermelon frost. I live in Southeast Asia and for my money this has been the cheapest, most effective way I've found to relieve mouth ulcers. I'm not sure where you live but check your local Chinese pharmacy or China Town.

Bonjela also seems to work for me.

I think most of it is bullshit, but some of the stuff does work.

Like Watermelon frost. I have zero idea how it works, but it does work. I've been using it since I was child, and it works for canker sores.

My issue is that most of the homeopathy stuff is not as strictly regulated by the FDA, and the ones that sort of work can cause bad reactions for prescribed medicine you're taking.

Do you use mouthwash? I used to get a lot and someone (my ortho maybe?) told me to stop using mouthwash and it seemed to work. I think it's the Sodium Lauryl Sulfate thing.

My crazy chinese mom would always make us use this awful bitter powder. You put some on the sore and try to keep your tongue away from it (to avoid the bitterness) and it would help the sore heal much faster. My sores could last up to 2 weeks, but with the powder, it would be sealed by the next day and on it's way to healing.

(My sister and I used to think it was all crazy eastern medicine mumbo jumbo, but we totally owe my mom an apology!)

*I've never bought it from Amazon, so I can't vouch for that seller. I was just looking for the name/packaging to try and remember how to ask for it at my local chinese pharmacy.
