You're not going to be able to do everything you want with one lens. That 16-50mm lens is okay at best. It'll get you some reach, but it's not going to do well in low light or at night. Personally, if I was choosing a lens for landscape, I'd go with the Sigma Art 19mm wide angle. It has an aperture of f/2.8 - allowing more light in than the zoom lens. It's much shaper, too. But you're not gonna get any zoom.

Im backpacking Philippines and I dont have alot of room for equipment, I'm thinking the 19mm would be a good choice for all the landscape shots.

Quick question, Woud you happen to know the difference between these? One says "19mm f2.8 DN MFT" and the other is "19mm f2.8 DN SE"

So I was looking at a sigma 19mm f2.8 lens for my a6000 for night photography and I noticed in the description it says it has a f1.2 maximum aperture doesn't that make it an f1.2 lens? or do I have something confused? Link

Ouch! Sorry, I didn't know you were in Canada.

North of the border, I would suggest a [$344.19CDN Sony 50mm f1.8] (http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00EZK122Q/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=15121&creative=330641&creativeASIN=B00EZK122Q&linkCode=as2&tag=hybrcamerevo-20) and (if budget permits) a [$209CDN Sigma 19mm f2.8] (http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00BPZCZM0/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=15121&creative=390961&creativeASIN=B00BPZCZM0&linkCode=as2&tag=hybrcamerevo-20).

With these two lenses, you'll have a good wide/portrait low light combination.

Hope this is helpful!

Since you want autofocus the Rokinon lenses are out. Maybe the Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 with the Sony ULTRA Wide Conversion Lens? Or the Sigma 19mm?
